US Coast Guard issues guidance for safe operation of ships
 
The US Coast Guard has issued a Policy Letter providing guidance regarding devices that alter manoeuvring characteristics of ships to ensure safe operation in the waters of the United States.
 
Maritime stakeholders including ship agents, owners and operators should be aware of how these devices impact ship manoeuvrability and take action, as necessary, to ensure safe operations, emphasised a communique.
