Outgoing DPA Chairman S. K. Mehta given a grand farewell

April 16, 2024 was the last day in office for Mr S. K. Mehta, IFS, Chairman, Deendayal Port Authority (DPA). While demitting office, the HODs, officials and workers of DPA gave him a rousing floral farewell which was overwhelming and emotional, highlighted a release.

Kandla Port Karmachari Sangh (KPKS) too organised a grand farewell for Mr S. K. Mehta on April 16 at the Administrative Office in Gandhidham, which was graced by Mr Nandeesh Shukla, IRTS, Deputy Chairman, and a large number of office-bearers and members, including representatives from the Women’s Wing of the Union.
 
Mr Mehta, who joined Deendayal Port Authority in 2019, has been promoted to the grade of Principal Chief Conservator of Forests, as per a KPKS release. The Union pointed out on the occasion that in the last 5 years, Mr Mehta initiated a number of progressive projects and schemes that brought huge investment to the port. Besides, he conducted the administrative work keeping in mind the best interests of industrial harmony and peace, which ensured that there wasn’t any agitation or protests against the local administration during his tenure. 
 
On behalf of the Union, a few mementoes were presented to the outgoing Chairman.
 
Mr Mohan K. Aswani, President of KPKS, in his address, appreciated the cooperation extended by the Chairman during his tenure since 2019, the release added.
