Maritime SheEO conducting survey on gender equality in Indian maritime industry 
 
Maritime SheEO is conducting a significant survey on Gender Equality in the Indian Maritime Industry, supported by the Netherlands Consulate in Mumbai. It has invited companies operating within the maritime sector to participate in this crucial initiative to help shape a more inclusive and equitable industry. 
 
The survey aims to gather insights from employers concerning gender equality practices within their organisations, as well as from female seafarers and female employees working on shore to understand their experiences and perspectives within the maritime industry. 
 
“We believe that understanding the current status of gender equality in the Indian maritime industry is vital to fostering a more diverse and inclusive workplace,” said Ms Sanjam Sahi Gupta, Founder at Maritime SheEO. 
 
This survey, supported by the office of the Director General of Shipping, Government of India, seeks to identify areas that require attention and develop initiatives that promote diversity and inclusivity within the maritime sector.
