DGTR begins anti-dumping probe into LNG fuel tank imports from China

The Commerce Ministry’s investigation arm, Directorate General of Trade Remedies (DGTR), is probing the dumping of liquefied natural gas (LNG) fuel tanks from China, as the imports are allegedly hurting the margins of the domestic industry. The DGTR said in a notification that on the basis of the duly substantiated written application submitted by the domestic industry, and being satisfied regarding the prima facie evidence about the dumping of subject goods, the Authority is initiating an anti-dumping investigation. If it is established that the dumping has caused material injury to domestic players, the DGTR would recommend the imposition of anti-dumping duty on these imports. The Finance Ministry takes the final decision to impose duties, said a report.
