Sanjam Sahi Gupta addresses IMO’s 2nd GloFouling Partnerships R&D Forum & Exhibition
The International Maritime Organization (IMO) recently invited Ms Sanjam Sahi Gupta, Director, Sitara Shipping Ltd, to talk
at the 2nd GloFouling Partnerships R&D Forum and Exhibition on Biofouling Prevention and Management for Maritime Industries, organised at the IMO headquarters in London during October 11-14, 2022.
Biofouling is a crucial part of the maritime industry and an even more critical part of reaching IMO’s 2030 goal.
She spoke about how important it is to have more diversity, not only because it’s “the right thing” to do, but also because it’s the smart thing to do.
Having more women in biofouling at various levels makes good business sense.
Sanjam is an advocate for diversity and inclusion in the maritime sector and works with the IMO on important projects like the GHG smart program, emphasised a release.
