PIL to implement Congestion Surcharge at Port Louis

n view of the current situation at Port Louis, Mauritius, PIL will be implementing a Congestion Surcharge (CGD) for all cargo to Port Louis with effect from December 22, 2024.
The CGD will apply based on the cargo’s loading date at its port of origin. This surcharge is to be collected together with Ocean Freight (OFT) unless otherwise stipulated on the shipping instruction.
 
The table shows the CGD charges (amounts in USD) applicable to all laden containers arriving at Port Louis, and will remain until further notice, said a release.
