DBGT achieves major milestone by handling 4 million TEUs since inception
DBGT, a premier container terminal operator at VOC Port, Tuticorin, has reached a significant milestone by handling 4 million TEUs to date.
This achievement demonstrates the terminal’s advanced infrastructure, innovative technology and proficient workforce, all of which have played a commendable role in its outstanding performance.
DBGT achieved this milestone by managing nearly 1 million TEUs over the past 21 months. The incremental progress is detailed as follows:
* 1 million TEUs on June 21, 2019
* 2 million TEUs on March 21, 2021
* 3 million TEUs on November 17, 2022
* 4 million TEUs on July 19, 2024
This progressive handling of incremental volume highlights DBGT’s consistency in customer deliverables over the past 5 years, it highlighted in a release.
Since commencing commercial operations on May 14, 2014, DBGT has efficiently managed over 3,000 vessels, highlighting its proficiency and reliability. This accomplishment solidifies DBGT’s reputation as a leading container terminal operator in the region.
