CONCOR and GAIL sign MoU to promote clean fuel & green logistics
LNG/LCNG stations and infrastructure to be jointly developed at CONCOR terminals across India
The Container Corporation of India (CONCOR) and GAIL (India) Ltd have inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to promote clean fuel and green logistics by jointly developing LNG/LCNG stations and infrastructure at CONCOR terminals across India. Gracing the ceremony were Mr Sanjay Swarup, Chairman and Managing Director, CONCOR, and Mr Sanjay Kumar, Director (Marketing), GAIL (India) Ltd, along with other officers from CONCOR and GAIL.
Key highlights of the collaboration:
* The first LNG station to be set up at CONCOR’s Khodiyar Terminal, Ahmedabad.
* GAIL to explore LNG supply for CONCOR and to the other fleet of vehicles/trucks etc. on mutually agreed terms.
* Focus on assured, stable and competitively priced LNG supply.
* Possibility of LNG transport via CONCOR rakes from GAIL terminals near sea ports (e.g. Dahej, Gujarat) to other inland locations.
This strategic alliance underscores the commitment of both CONCOR and GAIL towards enabling a sustainable energy future and fostering environmentally responsible logistics solutions across India, emphasised a communique.
