VOC Port’s wind energy generation results in substantial carbon savings

V. O. Chidambaranar Port (VOC Port) has generated 27,61,104 units of wind energy up to February in the financial year 2024-25, powered by its 2 MW wind power plant.
 
This renewable energy initiative has resulted in impressive carbon savings of 22,64,105 kg.
 
The port is actively contributing to global climate change mitigation while promoting sustainable energy practices in the maritime industry, highlighted a release.
