VOC Port becomes first Major Port to achieve over 1 MW rooftop solar power capacity

V. O. Chidambaranar Port (VOC Port) has made history as the first Indian Major Port to achieve over 1 MW of rooftop solar power capacity. 
 
With the recent addition of 400 kW off-grid rooftop solar power system, the port now boasts a total rooftop solar capacity of 1.04 MW, covering operational areas, port schools, parking zones, the wharf canteen, marine workshop and training centre, highlighted a release.
