ACAAI’s 48th annual convention in Baku sees wide-ranging deliberation
The 48th annual convention of the Air Cargo Agents Association of India (ACAAI) was held in the beautiful city of Baku, Azerbaijan from December 5-8, 2024.
His Excellency Mr Sridharan Madhusudanan, Ambassador of India to Azerbaijan, inaugurated the convention as Chief Guest. The Guest of Honour was Mr Piyush Srivastava, Senior Economic Advisor, Ministry of Civil Aviation, Government of India. Mr Sanjay Jain, First Secretary of the Indian Embassy, also graced the occasion.
In his address, Mr Madhusudanan elaborated on the history of Azerbaijan and shared interesting facts from his personal and professional experience.
Mr Piyush Srivastava, who travelled all the way to Baku to participate in the convention, highlighted the initiatives taken by the Government of India for air cargo and aviation. He acknowledged the efforts made by ACAAI for its members.
Mr Madhusudanan and Mr Srivastava appreciated the topical theme of the event: ‘Wings of Innovation - Charting New Paths in Logistics’.
The convention was graced by key officials/authorities from the Government of India, besides the largest number of ACAAI delegates and their accompanying spouses.
Also in attendance were ACAAI’s Office Bearers, Managing Committee Members and others, including Mr C. K. Govil, President.
The business sessions were very well formulated and designed, with carefully chosen professional panelists, to apprise the audience on the varied aspects of air cargo logistics, the current scenario in the sector, and the way ahead. In addition to the serious deliberations, there were business sessions featuring yoga, mentalist, etc. These were enjoyed by the delegates and kept them engrossed.
Live entertainment, fellowship and networking opportunities were optimally availed of by the delegates. A sight-seeing tour was also organised for the spouses.
Post-convention, the delegates were generous with their appreciation messages and expressed enthusiasm to have more such memorable events in future, as per a release.
