DPA crosses 75 MMT throughput in record time
 
Berths largest ever container vessel
 
Deendayal Port Authority (DPA), Kandla has crossed the 75 MMT mark in cargo handling this fiscal in the fastest ever time, thereby setting new benchmarks for efficiency and growth in India’s maritime sector.
 
The Chairman-DPA congratulated all the stakeholders, port users, trade unions, officials of the port, employees and workers for their wholehearted support and cooperation towards this achievement.
 
In another new high, Deendayal Port berthed its largest ever container vessel, the MV Mundra Express, having capacity of 10,000 TEUs and LOA 350 m. “A big leap forward in enhancing our maritime capabilities,” DPA emphasised in a communique.
