Deendayal Port Authority engages with stakeholders to further the container business
Deendayal Port Authority (DPA), Kandla organised a productive Business Meet in the Administrative Office Building, Gandhidham on November 13, 2024 that brought together key stakeholders, including representatives from Kandla International Container Terminal (KICT), Gateway Distriparks and other container stakeholders. The meeting was initiated by the Traffic Manager, who highlighted that regular one-to-one discussions with stakeholders will significantly enhance container operations and strengthen business at KICT.
Gateway Distriparks, in its presentation, expressed its readiness to immediately provide rail connectivity from its ICD Viramgam to KICT, for which it requested all liners to utilise the facilities at the ICD.
The session concluded with fruitful exchanges and valuable insights from all attendees, fostering a collaborative approach to furthering the container business at Kandla.
Mr Sushil Kumar Singh, IRSME, Chairperson-DPA, commended the Traffic Department’s Business Development Team for organising the event and emphasised the importance of conducting similar business meets on high-potential areas to drive growth.
The Deputy Chairman expressed his gratitude to all participants for their active engagement and contribution to the meeting’s success.
