ILA and USMX reach tentative agreement on new six-year master contract, preventing a strike at USEC and Gulf ports

The International Longshoremen’s Association (ILA) and the United States Maritime Alliance (USMX) have reached a tentative agreement on a new six-year master contract, preventing a strike related to USEC and Gulf ports.
 
However, ILA members still need to vote on and ratify the new contract before it becomes official. Both parties have agreed to continue operating under the current contract until the new deal is ratified, informed a communique.
