Flight operations at Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport to be suspended for six hours on May 8 for essential pre-monsoon maintenance

Flight operations at Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (CSMIA) will be suspended for six hours on May 8, 2025 due to scheduled runway maintenance, the airport’s private operator, Mumbai International Airport Ltd (MIAL), has announced.

The essential pre-monsoon maintenance will take place from 11 am to 5 pm, affecting both of the airport’s runways — 09/27 (the primary runway) and 14/32 (the secondary). During this window, no flight movements will take place as both runways will be out of operation.

MIAL stated that a NOTAM (Notice to Airmen) was issued six months in advance to inform all relevant stakeholders, allowing airlines sufficient time to revise their flight schedules and make necessary arrangements, said a report.
