HTOA’s 17th AGM held in Mumbai
 
SOP inked with Indian Army; Bharat Benz unveils new Tractor Series 
Hydraulic Trailer Owners Association (HTOA), the sole body representing modular hydraulic trailer (MHT) owners, held its 17th AGM at The Lalit, Mumbai on September 27, 2024, which was attended by its members from all over the country.
 
The meeting, chaired by Mr Sameer Parikh, Chairman, and conducted by Mr Nilesh Sinha, General Secretary, saw a detailed presentation on the past, current and future of the Over Dimensional/Over Weight Consignment transportation scenario in the Subcontinent. The resolutions unanimously passed on the occasion covered safety advisories and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), pursuing the government for enforcing digital curb on the overloading menace, bringing about amendment to the Carriage by Road Rules for limiting carrier liabilities on weight basis, integrated movement permissions system for Central & State roads/bridges, conducting regular training programs, and the digital spread of HTOA’s initiatives.
 
The AGM was followed by signing of SOP with the Indian Army for meeting its strategic ODC equipment transportation requirements, unveiling of the new Tractor 5532T 6*4 Series by Bharat Benz, release of the 10th edition of HEAVY HAULERS (the only heavy lift journal of India), presentation on global ODC transportation technologies by leading international and national MHTs, puller tractor, tyre manufacturers.
 
The meeting was graced by Mr Vivek Bhimanwar, Transport Commissioner-Maharashtra as Chief Guest and Brigadier Rajat Kumar as Guest of Honour. Mr J. P. Martin, Goldhofer Germany, Mr Amrit Lal Madan, AIMTC, Mr Malkit Singh Bal, AIMTC were also present, and there was active participation from Mr Suhas Labde-Jt. General Secretary, Mr Nitin Singhal-Treasurer, Mr Rajesh Gupta, Mr Manish Kataria, Mr H. S. Acharya, Mr Jignesh Patel, Mr Bharat Gandhi, Mr Nailesh Gandhi, Mr Sarabjit Singh, Mr Roshan Lal, Mr Pawan Jain, Mr Shrenik Kataria (Board Members), Mr Pritesh Gandhi, Mr Archit Agarwal, Mr Ankit Bamal, Mr Gopinath Thube-CAO, Mrs Pranjal Sawant, as well as key personnel from Bharat Benz, VG Automobiles, TII India, Tratec Engineers, VOLVO India, VMT, BKT Tyres, ICICI Lombard Insurance, TATA Motors, and hundreds of leading ODC transporters.
 
The meeting ended with the Vote of Thanks by Mr Zarksis Parabia, Vice Chairman, HTOA, informed a release.
