JSW Infrastructure to mechanise VOC Port’s North Cargo Berth-3
On Wednesday, Mr Susanta Kumar Purohit, IRSEE, Chairperson, V. O. Chidambaranar Port Authority (VOC Port) handed over the Date of Award of Concession to Mr Rinkesh Roy, Joint Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, JSW Infrastructure Limited, for mechanisation of North Cargo Berth-3 for handling dry bulk cargo.
Earlier, Mr A. Ganesan, Chief Mechanical Engineer, VOC Port and Mr Rakesh Singh Sisodia, Director, JSW Tuticorin Multipurpose Terminal Private Limited, exchanged the Escrow Agreement for the project.
The fully mechanised JSW Tuticorin Multipurpose Terminal Private Limited, capable of handling 7 million tonnes, will be commissioned by March 2027, as per a communique.
