Use of 30% biofuel blends permitted onboard Indian vessels
 
India has permitted the usage of 30% biofuel blends onboard Indian vessels, the aim being to reduce greenhouse gas emissions from ships and other air pollutants such as sulphur oxides. This will accelerate decarbonisation in the shipping industry as part of the journey to net-zero by 2070, informed a Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways communique.
