VOC Port handles more overall cargo and containers in 2024-25

V. O. Chidambaranar Port (VOC Port) has handled 41.72 million tonnes of cargo and 7,95,222 TEUs of containers in financial year 2024-25. This reflects a 0.78% growth in overall cargo traffic and a 6.40% growth in container traffic compared to the 41.40 million tonnes of cargo and 7,47,363 TEUs of containers handled in the previous financial year 2023–24. 
 
Mr Susanta Kumar Purohit, IRSEE, Chairperson, extended his wishes to all the officers and staff, port users, stakeholders and terminal operators for their dedication, hard work and commitment in achieving this remarkable success, said a release.
