JNPA handles record 7.301 million TEUs and 92.11 MMT in 2024-25
Jawaharlal Nehru Port Authority (JNPA) has achieved yet another historic high by registering a throughput of 7.301 million TEUs for fiscal 2024-25, a significant 13.55% growth over the 6.43 million TEUs it handled in 2023-24.
And further carrying forward its penchant for setting new records, the port handled total tonnage to the tune of 92.11 MMT in the just-concluded fiscal, up 7.34% from the 85.82 MMT in the previous financial year.
This was again made possible by the exemplary performance of JNPA’s multiple terminals, all of which increased their volumes this fiscal compared to the previous one.
BMCT handled 2.27 million TEUs, followed by GTI with 2.078 million TEUs.
NSICT came next with 1.207 million TEUs and NSIGT was at 1.129 million TEUs.
Nhava Sheva Freeport Terminal handled 5,94,260 TEUs, with Nhava Sheva Distribution Terminal’s volume touching 20,445 TEUs, as per sources.
