APEDA eyes $1 bn in export revenue from beverages
 
The Agricultural and Processed Food Export Development Authority (APEDA) is potentially eyeing $1 billion in export revenue over the next few years by promoting both Indian alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in the global market. India has excellent plant-based products ranging from the North-East to the South. APEDA especially intends to promote in the global market derivatives of horticultural products, like wines made from kiwi, jamun and mohua, among others. India exported 197,868.34 mt of alcoholic products worth Rs 2,070.88 crore/$277.95 million during 2021-22. The major export destinations were the UAE, Singapore, the US, Ghana, Haiti and Angola, as per a report.
