CMA CGM supporting construction of RoRo sailing ship

Through the CMA CGM Fund for Energies, CMA CGM is supporting the construction of Neoliner, the first RoRo sailing ship to be built by the RMK MARINE shipyard for the shipowner Neoline, to be launched in June 2025 on transatlantic routes.

The 136-metre-long RoRo vessel is equipped with two 76-metre high Solidsails folding carbon masts.

Thanks to its 3,000m2 of sails, developed by the “Chantiers de L’Atlantique”, this vessel will emit 80% to 90% less greenhouse gases than a traditional vessel of comparable size, and virtually no SOx, NOx and particles, highlighted a release.

The acquisition of a stake in Neoline will enable the Group to improve its knowledge of sail technology, a medium-term solution on the windiest routes.
