JBS Academy has commenced the BBA in Logistics course from September 26, 2022 under Kaushalya – The Skill University established by the Government of Gujarat. Under the umbrella of the university, this Academic Degree Course was inaugurated by Dr Jignesh Tapariya, Director Academics, Kaushalya – The Skill University.
In his inaugural speech, he explained that those opting for this course will be considered as university students, but the training will be imparted at JBS Academy as the university has given it affiliation. The credits acquired here can be used for any other university program. He also explained about the NEP 2020 and the Government of Gujarat’s initiative to promote skills-based education among the youth, and create a skilled workforce as per the vision of the Prime Minister.
Mr Samir Shah, Chief Mentor and Director of JBS Academy, explained the size and wide horizon of the logistics industry and the career scope for aspiring students. He urged the students to concentrate on learning the why and not the how. He emphasised that the recently announced National Logistics Policy, by the Prime Minister, is a great achievement for the country’s logistics sector; hence the future is bright for students opting for this course.
BBA in Logistics is a 3-year degree course with 1 year of on-the-job training which will make students job ready. It is a unique course where the university has designed the curriculum with help from industry experts to create true logisticians for the future.

In addition, the Academy has already commenced Post Graduate Diploma in Custom Clearance and Freight Forwarding, a 1-year course with on-the-job training. This course makes the student eligible to appear for CBLR Rule – 6 examination conducted by the Customs Department for obtaining Custom Broker License. It is taught by industry experts and academicians, the release added.
