JNPA Visit

President of Republic of Maldives visits JNPA
 
His Excellency Mr Ibrahim Mohamed Solih, President of the Republic of Maldives, visited Jawaharlal Nehru Port Authority (JNPA), India’s best performing port, on Thursday along with senior dignitaries from the country. 
 
Mr Sanjay Sethi, IAS, Chairman, JNPA, greeted and gave a traditional welcome to the President, in the presence of Mr Unmesh Sharad Wagh, IRS, Deputy Chairman, and all the HODs of the port. 
 
Mr Solih was briefed by Mr Sethi on JNPA’s latest developmental projects. He said: “Aligning with the vision of the Shipping Ministry of the Government of India, JNPA has taken up several developmental projects like the greenfield port at Vadhvan, dry ports in the hinterland of the state, the fourth container terminal, etc. which will contribute to the nation’s growing economy.”
 
Later, the President visited GTI, one of JNPA’s terminals, to get an overview of the overall functioning of the port, said a release.
