Shanghai Covid cases contained; lockdown fear recedes

After a spike in cases last week had fanned concerns that Shanghai city would be plunged back into lockdown, the weekend Covid-testing blitz found the virus seemingly contained, as per reports. The financial hub added 2 local cases on June 20, both outside government-mandated quarantine centres. It reported 13 Covid cases on June 19 and nine on June 18, with just one case each of the two days being outside quarantine. However, the tech hub of Shenzhen reported a flare-up over the weekend, prompting mass testing, as per a report.
