Set to be operational by Q1 2025, Phase 2 will elevate PSA Mumbai to become India’s largest standalone container terminal—enhancing its capacity to support the region’s growing demand for cargo handling, highlighted a release.

Key highlights

* Super Post-Panamax RMQCs – Designed for high productivity and efficient large vessel handling.

* e-RTGs – Eco-friendly cranes, optimising yard operations with a smaller carbon footprint.

The expansion will also introduce 1 km of quay and the capability to handle 2.4 million TEUs annually, reinforcing PSA Mumbai’s role as a vital hub in India’s EXIM trade network, the release emphasised.
