Direct Port Delivery at JN Port registering new highs

The Direct Port Delivery (DPD) facilitation at Jawaharlal Nehru Port Authority (JNPA) continues to simplify the ex-im trade. In the first quarter of FY 2024-2025, it saw a remarkable high of 546,215 TEUs compared to 524,942 TEUs in the corresponding previous year, marking an 8.71% increase.

Consolidated DPD usage has increased to 78.87% in the first quarter of FY 2024-2025 compared to 70.17% in the corresponding year, highlighted a communique.

DPD is a part of the Ministry’s Ease of Doing Business initiative which helps deliver import containers directly to pre-approved clients at the port, reducing logistics cost and time, the communique added.
