Increase in free storage time for empty export containers at King Abdul Aziz Port in Dammam

The Saudi Ports Authority “Mawani” recently announced increase in free storage time for empty export containers at King Abdul Aziz Port in Dammam from 10 days to 20 days, for a period of 6 months. This new initiative by Mawani aims to support operational processes for all beneficiaries and stakeholders in the ports sector and facilitate trade and supply chains. This incentive initiative is part of Mawani’s efforts to enhance operational efficiency, accelerate the return of empty containers, improve truck turnaround time, and promote the logistics services provided. Additionally, it aims to enhance the import and export operations system, support the economic environment and trade movement in the Kingdom, strengthen partnerships with the private sector, and offer attractive competitive services, thereby contributing to the support of global supply chains.
