Mumbai Port Authority celebrates 10th International Yoga Day 

International Yoga Day is celebrated on 21st June the world over. Like every year, Mumbai Port Authority (MbPA) marked the 10th International Yoga Day at the historic Gateway of India, in association with the Ministry of Textiles, Ministry of Tourism and Patanjali Yog Samithi.
 
Mr Eknath Shinde, Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Mr Devendra Fadnavis, Deputy Chief Minister, Mrs Roop Rashi, Textile Commissioner, Mr Suresh Yadav, Rajya Prabhari of Bharat Swabhiman, and senior officers of MbPA participated in the function. Nearly 3,500 participants from Mumbai Port, CISF, Patanjali Yog Samithi, NCC, Home Guards and school students took part in the yoga session. The event was successfully conducted under the able guidance of Mr Rajiv Jalota, IAS, Chairperson, Mumbai Port Authority and Mr Adesh Titarmare, IAS, Deputy Chairperson, Mumbai Port Authority.
 
Mr Eknath Shinde emphasised the need of yoga and its benefits in one’s day to day life. Mr Devendra Fadnavis stressed that the importance of yoga should be propagated in every household for a healthier future, said a release.
