CBIC further amends SCMTR, extends implementation deadline
The Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC) has issued a notification to further amend the Sea Cargo Manifest and Transhipment Regulations (SCMTR), 2018.
* Short title and commencement - These regulations may be called the Sea Cargo Manifest and Transhipment (First Amendment) Regulations, 2024.
* They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.
* In the said regulations, in regulation 15 - a. in sub-regulation (2), for the words, figures and letters, “till 31st March 2024”, the words, figures and letters, “till 30th June 2024” shall be substituted.
