Kerry Indev Logistics enchants guests at its 40th Anniversary celebrations

A glamorous evening with captivating, diverse performances

It was a milestone evening as Kerry Indev Logistics and XB Group celebrated its much-anticipated completion of 40 years serving the logistics sector as well as multiple industries. The overwhelming response of more than 2,500 guests was met with emotional appreciation by Dr S. Xavier Britto, Chairman of Kerry Indev Logistics and XB Group and a true doyen of the Indian logistics industry, who acknowledged the love, affection and friendship that he has garnered since his humble beginnings since 1984. 
 
A star-studded gala evening saw participation from the stalwarts of different industries such as Shipping and Logistics, Entertainment and Media, Associations and Trade fraternities. The event was graced by the company’s beloved customers including overseas partners and friends, comrades and family members who shared their felicitations and congratulations to Dr Britto and his team.
 
The event was organised with variety entertainment and professionally conducted for more than 2.5 hours, with XB Group’s Esthell Hotels and Resorts serving scrumptious food for all the guests..
With heavenly blessings, the lighting of the lamp was conducted in a new age digital mode and the welcome address was delivered by Mr Mitchell Britto who has joined his father’s business from this year. 
 
Dr Britto riding high
 
The highlight of the program was when Dr Britto entered the overflowing auditorium on his Rajdoot bike amidst celebrations and cheers from the audience. This experience invoked nostalgia as he recalled the early struggling days of his career with limited resources during his speech. It was this bike that gave him company during the darkest hours of his toils and laborious days, with which he developed the business that is sustained to this day. It was a very well-arranged surprise for Dr Britto himself, which everyone appreciated. 
 
In vivid shades, the XAVIER BRITTO journey moved all present in varied emotions, as an AV montage showcased the various stages of his life, the nurture and the confluence of values learnt from his parents and many inspiring icons, his modest start in business to where he is today, and his philanthropic efforts. His ability to never forget the past and the people who have been his ladder to success, resonated the important characteristics of his words - the attitude of gratitude determines one’s altitude.
 
With these memories, he recollected the growth of XB Group, particularly Kerry Indev Logistics since the last four decades, especially the challenges he faced, whilst highlighting the vast growth of logistics in the country as well as the future of this dynamic industry. 
 
40 years of growth and success
Kerry Indev has seen sustained growth for 40 years, being one of the few logistics operators having all the services under one roof and on a single platform. Dr Britto stressed that his mission is to come out with an IPO within a couple of years. The event showcased how effectively XB Group is growing across all sectors that Dr Britto has ventured into. 
 
With the vision of opening his own Logistics University, for which preparations are on to make a structured syllabus aiming to combine engineering, technology, humanities and logistics, and giving importance to practical orientation, Dr Britto is on a trailblazing path towards creating ripples across the educational sector as well. 
 
Dr Vimala Rani Britto, Secretary and Correspondent of St Britto’s Institutions, run under the SMR Educational Trust, elaborated on the specialised curriculum curated to meet the requirements of today’s generation of children, while adopting new age pedagogies. She also manages the SEEK Foundation, the CSR arm where through extraordinary efforts in providing the necessary access to education, clean water, sanitation and forming self-help groups, the Foundation is uplifting the socio-economic conditions by adopting several villages across Tamil Nadu.
 
Dazzling performances
 
The event saw performances that kindled hearts. A spectacular Bharatnatyam performance by differently abled dancers of ‘Miracle on Wheels’ was delivered flawlessly, captivating the audience, where sign language for applause was encouraged to appreciate the special dancers. Dr Britto was appreciated by all for always encouraging diversity and inclusion, as such performances are rarely seen in society. 
 
Electrifying dance performances by the Loyola Dream Team, the Pixel Tron Dance including Michael Jackson routines, and the performance mentalist entertained and charmed all with enthusiastic participation.
 
The Vote of Thanks was delivered by Mr P. C. Selvaraj with gratitude as he recounted his initial years and the opportunities provided by Dr Britto, which helped him grow to become the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of CHA and Compliance pan-India. He has been with Dr Britto from the beginning, since 1984, and was also celebrating 40 years of being with the organisation. 
 
The event ended with lots of happiness, as all the guests felicitated their association with Dr Britto, creating ecstatic moments of joy, sharing their delight and pleasure on the very well organised professional programme. 
 
Dr Britto said in a statement: “Our sincere thanks to customers, shipping lines, airlines, trade fraternity, friends and well-wishers from across all nations for your gracious presence, for you truly made our milestone a successful event and to be remembered for generations to come !”
