VOC Port handles over 100 pc more raw cashew 
 
V. O. Chidambaranar Port (VOC Port) handled 34,296 tonnes of raw cashew in the current financial year up to November 2024, achieving a remarkable growth of 105.14% compared to the 16,718 tonnes handled during the corresponding period in the previous year. Arriving from Guinea-Bissau, Mozambique and the Marshall Islands, this commodity is efficiently distributed to processing centres located in Kollam, Kanyakumari and nearby regions, bolstering Tamil Nadu’s local industries and driving economic development, highlighted a release.
