Delhi airport becomes India’s first to connect 150 destinations
Delhi Airport has etched its name in aviation history by becoming the first airport in India to connect with 150 destinations worldwide. This landmark achievement solidifies its reputation as a global aviation hub and premier gateway.
The 150th connection was established with the launch of Thai AirAsia X’s direct flights between Delhi and Bangkok-Don Mueang (DMK), starting with a bi-weekly frequency and set to increase to four flights per week by mid-January 2025. Operated using Airbus A330 aircraft, this new route expands connectivity options.
Over the years, Delhi Airport has progressively increased its global footprint, with connections to exclusive international destinations such as Phnom Penh, Bali Denpasar, Calgary, Montreal, Vancouver, Washington Dulles, Chicago O’Hare and Tokyo Haneda. This diverse and growing network ensures unmatched connectivity, catering to various needs, said a release.
