Dholera Airport intends to commence air cargo ops in July 2025
 
Dholera International Airport Company Limited (DIACL) intends to commence international air cargo operations in the initial phase from June/July 2025. Upcoming Dholera airport is located at around two hours’ distance from the city of Ahmedabad. The works for the construction of a greenfield expressway to Dholera airport and Dholera are progressing in an advanced stage. DIACL has already invited tenders from the contractors for the operation and management of the international cargo terminal and ground handling services at Dholera airport for 7 years. Bids shall open in March this year. The total area of the Air Cargo Terminal, according to DIACL, is 10,700 sq. m approx. (international cargo). The built-up area is 2,450 sq. m (only ground floor), the paved area is 8,800 sq. m, and the 4,260 sq. m airside ramp area will be provided for carrying out cargo handling, as per a report.
