Manoj Kumar is the new Chief Vigilance Officer at JNPA

Mr Manoj Kumar, IRS, is the new Chief Vigilance Officer (CVO) at Jawaharlal Nehru Port Authority (JNPA). He took charge recently.
 
Mr Manoj Kumar, who joined the Indian Revenue Service (IRS) in 2003, has a Master in Politics (Specialisation in International Relations) from Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), New Delhi and an L.L.B from Mumbai University. He has also completed a course on Inclusive Growth-Fiscal Policy from International Monetary Fund (IMF), Washington DC and Applied Corporate Finance from Cambridge University, UK.
 
As a tax administrator, he has implemented various policies and decisions of the Government of India related to direct taxes. He has knowledge of varied corporate structure, corporate finance and taxation, and deep understanding of the vertical and horizontal impact of fiscal policy on various sections of society. He has represented the Revenue Department on tax dispute matters before the Tax Tribunal, especially on the subject of Transfer Pricing. He also has specialisation in the field of International Taxation and Transfer Pricing.
 
Before joining IRS, he had experience in defense production under Indian Ordnance Factories Service and dealt with the distribution system of foodgrain and other essential items mainly to weak, poor and marginalised sections of society, under the Government of Uttar Pradesh, informed a release.
