Saudi Ports Authority invites bids for 8 multipurpose  terminal concessions

The Saudi Ports Authority (Mawani), in cooperation with the National Center for Privatization & PPP (NCP), has announced the launch of the Request for Qualification (RFQ) for its Priority Concessions procurement project.  Mawani is planning the award of eight (8) multipurpose terminal concessions across eight (8) commercial and industrial ports in Saudi Arabia. These concessions are intended to provide several services related to the handling of General Cargo, RoRo, Bulk, Containers and Livestock.

The Concessions aim to increase the level of services provided to target groups such as the private sector, importers and exporters, and to contribute to achieving the Vision 2030 goals of the Kingdom becoming an international logistics hub. The Priority Concessions are expected to be procured under a long-term public private partnership agreement using the Build, Operate and Transfer (BOT) model.

Submission of Statement of Qualification (SOQ) is open to all interested local and international investors. The received SOQs will be evaluated based on technical, financial and other general evaluation criteria. The final day to submit SOQs is February 9, 2022, at 3 pm KSA time, informed an official communiqué.
