Impasse continues at Gangavaram port

The impasse at the port of Gangavaram in Andhra Pradesh continues as negotiations between the port and striking workers have failed, it is learnt at the time of going to press.
 
Vessels which were in port limits have been diverted to nearby ports.
 
As reported earlier, Adani Gangavaram Port Limited (AGPL) had put out a statement intimating that services at the port were brought to a standstill from 0600 hours on April 12, 2024.
 
Adani Ports and Logistics declared a Force Majeure at the port due to the severe impact of the strike on cargo handling and other related services, said a report.
