CMA CGM to temporarily replace Savannah with Charleston on its AMERIGO service connecting West Med to US East Coast

CMA CGM has informed that its AMERIGO service (connecting West Med to the US East Coast) will temporarily stop calling Savannah due to severe congestion in the port (8-10 days) and in order to protect schedule integrity and weekly sailing frequency.

A new call at Charleston will be inserted in the rotation and Savannah shipments will be directed to Charleston.

The first sailing impacted will be m/v CMA CGM LA TRAVIATA voy. 0MR9TW1MA, ETA Algeciras on October 31, 2021, ETA Charleston on November 27, 2021.

The terminal called in Charleston will be Wando Welch Terminal (WWT) on Saturdays, which mirrors the current Savannah berth window, the communiqué said.
