Ports reopened after Hurricane Michael makes landfall

 

After Hurricane Michael made landfall just east of Panama City on October 10, 2018, the Captain of the Port Mobile issued Port Status Changes for the Ports of Mobile, Pascagoula, Gulfport, Pensacola, Panama City and the Gulf Intracoastal Waterway (GICWW).

 

Marine Safety Information Bulletin No. 26-18 said that Gulfport, Pasacagoula and Mobile had been opened.

 

The GICWW was also open west of MM 166, but remained closed east of MM 166.

 

The ports of Panama City and Pensacola were still closed, said a communiqué.
