Resounding response for Softlink’s knowledge conclave

Softlink announces new features of compression, digital signing & splitting PDFs for eSANCHIT

Softlink, the leader in Customs broking, freight and logistics solutions, conducted a conclave, in association with Brihanmumbai Custom Brokers Association (BCBA), to upgrade the knowledge of Customs brokers on eSANCHIT, GST and acquiring and sustaining AEO status. The conclave received a resounding response from the industry with over 220 members in attendance.

Mr Ashish Pednekar, President, BCBA, Mr Karunakar Shetty, Vice-President, BCBA, and Mr Kishore Parulekar, Vice-President, BCBA, presided over the occasion on behalf of the Association. Mr Amit Maheshwari, Founder and CEO, Softlink Global, led the Softlink team.

Mr Pednekar and Mr Maheshwari both addressed the conclave, which was followed by presentations by Mr Jitin Vijayan on eSANCHIT and data accuracy, and by Mr Rohan Dhopavkar on GST. Mr Maheshwari gave insights on how Customs brokers today can be prepared to face the current challenges and equip themselves to be future ready. Softlink announced a host of new features, that would be released soon, to make life easier for its users. For example, for eSANCHIT a new tool will be launched to compress, digitally sign and split PDFs and many more such functionalities.

Addressing the gathering, Mr Pednekar acknowledged the exceptional contribution of Softlink to the industry. He stressed the importance of AEO status and the need to be equipped with knowledge and technology to acquire and sustain it. He said, "Softlink has been the pioneer in software solutions for the industry and there is no doubt about the superior quality of the products and services. Mr Amit has very ably guided Softlink towards the high position it holds today. I am sure Softlink will continue to deliver outstanding service in the coming years and achieve even greater success globally."

Mr Maheshwari said, "Softlink has always held its customers’ interest very close to its heart. Our focus on developing superior products and offering quality support have been the major factors in winning and upholding the confidence of the Customs broking fraternity for over 25 years. Nearly 80 per cent of the import and export documents filed with the Customs are from our softwares. Softlink is always the first to update the software, whether it was policy and regulatory updates or major initiatives like SWIFT, eSANCHIT, GST, etc."

The presentation touched upon all the aspects a Customs broker should consider to ensure maximum efficiency. Various issues faced by the users in their documentation and the ICEGATE filing process were discussed and solutions were provided from Softlink’s own research and analysis. Softlink does extensive study of the issues faced by users and the queries raised by them, and gives practical guidance based on its own experience and knowledge. The support team also interacts with the customers and the Customs to provide solutions for issues where answers are not available through any direct source.

The highly elucidating presentation drove home the points that would help users to streamline their processes and improve work efficiency. The knowledge shared during the conclave gave much clarity to the audience and eliminated all doubts. There were practically no questions raised during the Q&A session at the conclusion of the conclave, highlighted a release.
