Mansukh Mandaviya visits Kandla Port

Precursor to Prime Minister’s visit on May 22

 

Mr Mansukh Mandaviya, Minister of State for Shipping, Road Transport and Highways, visited Gandhidham and Kandla Port on May 18 in preparation for the visit of the Prime Minister, Mr Narendra Modi, on May 22, 2017.

 

He held a series of meetings with key city officials as well as with those of Kandla Port.

 

The Prime Minister has a busy schedule during his visit. He will lay the foundation stone of Kandla Port’s General Cargo Berths 14 and 16, as well as the Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Convention Centre.

 

He will preside over the exchange of MoU between KPT and IOCL, and the award of inter-change cum ROB at Kandla, two mobile harbour cranes, and mechanisation of fertiliser handling.

 

He will also inaugurate a 6-MW wind power project, said a communiqué.
